In 1959, two smaller cooperatives merged with the Department of Agriculture’s help to form the Star Telephone Membership Corporation. Star, a nonprofit cooperative owned and operated by its members, prioritizes providing affordable, high-quality communication services. Headquartered in Clinton, North Carolina, we understand rural needs and serve tight-knit farming communities.
Despite the region’s slower pace, we offer cutting-edge technology like fully redundant fiber-optic rings and 100 percent high-speed internet.
